About the event
Post-War Jews have so far only known one account of the events at Masada, that of Flavius Josephus, but recently a new and controversial narrative has emerged which challenges this original version based on the use of ground breaking technologies. Eleanor Levy will present a revisionist account of this haunting chapter of Jewish history also revisiting York's Jewish massacre, which occurred over 1,000 years later.
Eleanor Levy taught history for 20 years to American undergraduate students visiting Regents College during their semester abroad in London and since 2019 has been running history groups for mature adults at her local U3A.
This is a hybrid event. Attend in person at Chigwell & Hainault Synagogue or online via Zoom.
