The long history of Jews in England - Licoricia of Winchester

Good morning, JHSE members,

The erection of the statue of Licoricia of Winchester with her son in the centre of that city earlier this year, has inspired a great deal of informative activity. One strand is the series of lectures organised by the Cathedral and made available online through this link:https://www.winchester-cathedral.org.uk/event/licoricia-lecture-series/

I have already informed you of the book by Rebecca Abrams, and here is a reminder of it:

It has been a pleasure to follow the project form its inception almost a decade ago when William Carver - its lead - first told me about it when we met at the Parkes Centre in Southampton. Well done to the many individuals and local institutions in Hampshire who ahve made this happen!
