This meeting will be dedicated to celebrating the 125th Anniversary of the founding of the Society.
It will commence at 6.30 pm, and will open with an account of the founding of the Society and its links to the Maccabeans by Prof. David Latchman. The current president will then read the Inaugural Address, “A Plea for Anglo-Jewish History”, delivered by the first president Lucien Wolf on 11th November 1893, and a panel will discuss where we are now in the study of Anglo-Jewish history. What progress has been made? What remains to be done?
