About the event
The Chabad Lubavitch Movement has branches all over the world. Other streams of contemporary Jewish thought have been influenced by it in various ways, and of course, some have resisted it. What are the origins of Chabad and what is its secret?
Our speaker, Dr Naftali (Tali) Loewenthal is Associate Professor of Jewish Spirituality at the Department of Hebrew and Jewish Studies at UCL. He is also Director of the Chabad Research Unit, an adult educational organization, and head of Religious Studies at the Lubavitch Senior Girls School.
