About the event
Approximately 125,000 boys signed up to fight in World War 1, many of them members of the Jewish community. Who were these boy soldiers and what made them sign up? Whilst many of them gave their lives for their country, many were awarded Military honours and went on to live fulfilling lives. This talk explains the circumstances which lead them to sign up and the lengths which many distraught parents went to try and bring them home again – with varying results.
We welcome back Lola Fraser, who with her husband Ronnie has spoken to us previously about their researches into the Jewish contribution to the First World War.
This talk will take place on Zoom only.
If you are a UK taxpayer, Gift Aid can make your donation go even further. It means we can get an extra 25p for every £1 you donate – at no extra cost to you. All you need to do is to select the Gift Aid ticket, above, confirm the following and enter your address in the contact details form if it is new to us. Thank you.
