Chigwell and Hainault Synagogue , Limes Ave, Chigwell IG7 5NT, UK
About the event
If you think the Jack the Ripper story is simply about five women killed in east London in cold blood by an unknown assailant in 1888, think again!
“Jack the Ripper” was a team with a barely-believable agenda that mixed freemasonry, Biblical instructions and esoteric religious notions.
Ed Glinert, author of Penguin’s revered London Compendium and East End Chronicles, and an East End tour guide, has uncovered a remarkable sub-story in which local Jews got the blame for the attacks, which initially fell on dates significant to the Hebrew calendar. And it got even more mysterious when it was discovered that there was a pattern to the killings that introduced further Hebrew arcana.
About our speaker, Ed Glinert:
* Award-winning Manchester, London, Liverpool tour guide & historian.
* Winner: "Best Manchester Walking City Tour Operator 2023" in the European Travel Awards.
